Green Step Forward

To mark International Forest Day, fifteen Natron-Hayat employees exchanged office chairs and screens for shovels, gloves and fresh forest air. In partnership with ŠPD ZDK d.o.o. Zavidovići - Šumarija Maglaj, our team spent the day planting 1,500 young pine saplings in a forested area not far from our mill.

This wasn’t just a day out of the office - it was a meaningful step toward ecological responsibility. Each sapling now planted will spend decades absorbing carbon, protecting local biodiversity and supporting the long-term cycle of renewable fibres.

Through hands on participation, our team strengthens its understanding of what it means to give back to nature - recognising that sustainable forestry is not just a concept, but an essential responsibility for every company.

The planting day brought us more than ecological value. It gave us time to connect with nature, with each other and with a purpose greater than ourselves. This marks the fourth consecutive year of our reforestation, a clear reflection of our desire not only to uphold a meaningful tradition, but to nurture a lasting partnership with nature. With every planting, we renew our commitment to environmental stewardship and to building a future where industry and ecology grow side by side

This initiative is one part of our broader environmental programme, and a clear reminder: sustainability begins long before any fibre reaches the paper machine. It begins with intention — and with action.
